This painting on paper is part of a series of paintings archived from the backdrop of Studio 302. Over the last decade of painting, this portion of the wall served as the recipient of over-spray, ideas, movements and ultimately the numerous paintings created by TheKidBelo.
The piece is framed by Masters Gallery in a 1 1/2" X 2 1/4" white boxy frame, mounted onto a white 4 ply rag mat board, backed with corroplast and glazed with conservation clear acrylic raised by foam core spacers at the total size of 54" x 44". The dead air space inside the frame will be about 1 5/8” with the work floating.
Raise The Bar
Acrylic and Aerosol on canvas. 55" x 90". (commission, sold)
A small collection of artwork from David while on sabbatical in New Zealand from the beginning of October 2016 until the end of March 2017. The work in this 8 painting portfolio was mostly study, working out of a small studio in Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
From early October, 2016, until spring of 2017, David's stay in New Zealand was one of rest and reset, bringing into the studio new ideas and expanding his ways of creating.
This piece of art is actually the first piece of art David did not sign DAB or TheKidBelo. It was featured in the short film, Stock, by 403K Films, which won at the Toronto Independent Film Festival. You can see that short, here.
